Highlights of the 514th Vardhanthi of Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya commemorated at Shri Lakshminarayan, 9292 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, CA-92503 on 25 March 2017 (Saturday) from 3pm to 8pm.

organized the devotional services commemorating the 514th Vardhanthi of Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya in Riverside, CA More than Two Hundred devotees attended the devotional services.

The Vardhanthi commemoration began @ 3pm with the recital of Gurudeva Prarthana "Sreemathvadeeya" followed by Uregimpu of Annmacharya, Sri Venkateswara and Padmavathi Ammavaru.  Sankeerthana recital followed by a brief introductory speech by the President of SVASA on Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya & his works.  Sankeerthana recital began with "Dinamu Dwadasi Nedu" followed by the recital of four Sankeerthanas on Annamacharya by the devotees.  About 45 vocalists participated in the Sankeerthana recital and rendered 50 Sankeerthanas mostly in groups.  Sankeerthanas were rendered by children for the first hour.  The core Sankeerthanas of SVASA were rendered led by Smt. Annapurna Duvvuri, Priya Tatta,Subhadra Rani, Usha Rani, Vani Ivaturi, Savitha Bhat, Vasanth Tatta, Rangaraya Sarma, Srikanthi Gunturi, Suneetha Anna, Ramya, Praveena and others.  Ragaswara School of music devotees rendered some Sankeerthanas.  This devotional event has been focused to encourage the participation of children along with the seasoned singers in honoring Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya on the 514th year of his Vardhanthi.  Incidentally this is the 26th year in a row that the organization commemorated Annamacharya's Vardhanthi religious service honoring Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya.  Fifty Sankeerthanas were recited over 5 hours.  Introduction and an apt commentary to the Sankeerthanas were provided by the president of SVASA to benefit the participants understand the meaning and context of the Sankeerthanas.  Mangalamu Govindunaku was recited by the group as the Mangalam Sankeerthana.

This devotional service was well received by the devotees.  The service concluded with the Mangalasasanam to Sri Venkateswara and Maha Naivedyam and Arathi.  Prasadam was served to the devotees after the Mangalasasanam.
