Highlights of the 504th Vardhanthi of Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya commemorated at 5252 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, CA-92503 on 31 March 2007 (Saturday) from 4pm to 8pm.
SVASA organized the devotional services commemorating the 504th Vardhanthi of Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya in Riverside, CA More than two Hundred devotees attended the devotional services.

The Vardhanthi commemoration began @ 4pm with the Uregimpu of Annmayya and Sri Venkateswara with Padmavathi Ammavaru while the devotees sang the Annamayya Pancharatnamala. The Avahanam was marked with the Gurudeva Prarthana and the Sankeerthana recital followed a brief introductory speech by the President of SVASA on Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya & his works.

Several vocalists participated in the Sankeerthana recital.  The core Sankeerthanas of SVASA were rendered for the first hour led by Smt. Annapurna Duvvuri and accompanied by Smt. Indira Sanda, Smt. Subhadra Rani, and Smt. Usha Rania.  Thereafter, other vocalists rendered Sankeerthanas for two more hours.  Among the vocalists were: a group from Sampradaya School of Music led by Subha Naryan, Sri Varigonda Ramarao & Sr Balaji Tamarisa from San Diego, Smt. Sarada Balaji, Pradeep & Pallavi Bugga, Aruna Naishadham, and Sri Murali P. Vasudevan.  The vocalists were ably supported on violin by Sri Murali P. Vasudevan and by Sri Arjun Narayanan on Mridangam.  Introduction and the commentary were provided by Satya Duvvuri, president of SVASA.  More than twenty Sankeerthanas were recited including Gathulanni Khilamaina, Jagnmohanakara, Choodaramma sathulala, Nee Namamay, and Mangalamu Govindunaku as the Mangalam Sankeerthana.

This program was well received by the devotees.  The program concluded with the Mangalasasanam to Sri Venkateswara.  Prasadam was distributed to the devotees after the Mangalasasanam.
