Highlights of the 599th Jayanthi of
Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya
commemorated at 1526 Jameson Ct., Riverside, CA
on 3 May 2007 from 6-8am and 6-8pm
and at Hindu Temple, Sageberry Drive, Las Vegas, NV
on 19 May 2006 (Saturday) from 6:00pm to 9:00pm

The commemoration started on 3 May at 6Am in the SVASA premises Riverside with Suprabhatham  of Sri Venkateswara followed by Gurudeva Prardhana and recital of Annamacharya Sankeertanas.  The morning services concluded at 8am with Mangalam and Harathi.  The Sankirtana recital continued again in the evening from 6-8pm.
On 19th May, SVASA commemorated the Jayanthi at the Hindu Temple, Las Vegas, NV from 6pm to 9pm.  More than 200 devotees attended the service. 

     

The program commenced with the Uregimpu (Procession) and continued with Gurudeva Prardhana and a recital of Annamayya Pancharatnamala, 16 more Sankeertnas of Annamacharya including Annimathramulu, Bhavamulona, Podagantimayya,  Hari Rasama Vihari, Palumaru Vutla, and Mangalamu Govidunaku etc.  It conluded with the Mangalam followed by the distribution of Prasadam to the devotees.   

Sri Vinukonda Murali Mohan (from India), Smt. Subha Narayan (Sampradaya School of Music), Smt. Annapurna Duvvuri, and Smt. Sudha Kotha provided the vocal and were ably supported on violin by Sri Murali P. Vasudevan and by Sri Nagore G. Srinivasan on Mridangam.  Attending devotees at the temple hailed the introductory speech and commentary provided by Satya Duvvuri, president of SVASA.

This event created so much sensation in the local community as to inspire them into inviting SVASA to present another program like this in the future.  SVASA distributed the "Annamacharya Sankirtana Panchashathi" book and "Annamayya Sankirtana Sanjeevani" CD to the interested devotees.
